Christian Pulisic of Chelsea has been named the United States Player of the Year. This is the third time he has won the accolade,

despite the 23-year-old having had a great year with the Blues after helping to win the Champions League last season. But his national team performance is even bigger than that.

Pulisic became the first American to play in the Champions League final. And the first to win it during Chelsea’s championship season. He had six goals and four assists across 40 appearances for the London club,

Pulisic has scored two important goals for his country this year, netting one against Mexico in the CONCACAF Nations League final. and another ball in the game against Jango in the World Cup qualifier last November.

That performance earned Pulisic the United States Men’s Player of the Year award this year. This is his third time,

making him the youngest player to win the award three times, the previous two in 2017 and 2019.

The Young Player of the Year award went to FC Dallas forward Ricardo Pepi, who was born full-time in MLS and was named in the national team for the first time this year, scoring three goals. with 3 assists from 6 games in the World Cup qualifiers
