From £3.5 trillion to £2.5 billion: how the world’s richest people earned their money, according to Forbes article The World is rich and famous, but it is not always rich.
According to the Forbes Billionaires list, which calculates the value of wealth and income, only five billionaires in the world today are worth more than $10 billion each.
And it’s not even close.
These are the richest people in the entire world.
They are: Elon Musk, the Tesla billionaire and founder of electric car company SpaceX, who made $18.3 billion in 2016; Prince Harry, the Duke of Cambridge, who makes $4.7 billion; and Prince Andrew, the Duchess of Cornwall, who has a fortune of $1.7 million.
